We spent a month in Ireland in 2015. And even though this is a small country (relative to the US) we did not see or experience all we hoped to, so we are returning in 2017. Hoping to immerse ourselves in the county and culture; to absorb all that is Irish.
It is my intention to post my thoughts, experiences and photo's on this blog site. A place for our family & friends, who wish to understand and gain knowledge, to come along with us.
What does "beyondrefugio" mean?
Those of you who followed our first blog will know, but for those of you that don't -I'll explain.
There is a state beach in California that has been a family favorite campground for decades. As a little girl, my family camped there as well. Refugio State Beach holds countless and fond memories for our entire family. In definition, Refugio means a refuge. Safety. To me, that's a refuge of the heart. When we bought our first boat we named her Refugio for these very reasons, and we logged that marvelous adventure here www.mvrefugio.blogspot.com. We’ve since sold our boat, however plan to continue our soft adventures in life – so this blog are all those travels beyond Refugio, and more.
